FAMILY SESSIONS FAQ
1. How Far in advance should I schedule my shoot?
Allow 1-2 weeks to book and prepare your outfits, shot list, props, and any other materials you'll need. Sessions typically run on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings. Sessions are scheduled on a first-book, first-served basis.
2. Can I add florals or Props to my session?
Of course! I love incorporating florals. You are welcome to bring flowers or props that are sentimental to you. If you need me to provide flowers for you, the cost will be flowers' cost + 25%. Everything will be set up before your arrival. For extensive styling, I recommend working with the Editorial Branding Package or a stylist to ensure the quality of your session.
3. What should I wear?
As cliché as this sounds—be yourself! The most important thing is that you're comfortable, and coordinating colors a bit can't hurt either. I like to start with basics—light, black, neutral tones, and something colorful, not too graphic. I'm happy to help with outfit choices (send me an email), and I'm also happy to review your mood board or share some visual references.
4. How long does it take to get the photos?
You will receive an email with your private online gallery of proofs within one week of your session. From there, you will select your favorite images, which will then be edited and sent to you 2 weeks later. We understand that many people choose to use these photos for holiday cards and gift-giving, so we do our very best to focus on a quick turnaround.
5. I’d like more photos! Can I purchase additional images?
Yes, you can purchase additional hi-res images for $70 each.
6. How Does Booking & Payment Work?
I'll work with you to finalize a shoot date and take a 50% deposit to secure your slot. After the shoot, I'll send the remaining invoice, to be settled before the delivery of your final images.
7. When should we arrive?
In a perfect world, I’d love for you to arrive 5 minutes before your scheduled time slot. Give yourselves plenty of time to park, walk, and get through that unexpected meltdown. And if you’re still running late, take a deep breath and we promise we’ll make it work.
