Life recently is chive flowers from dad’s garden, chilly summer weather that cannot make up it’s mind. Life recently is photo shoots in alleyways, attempts to photograph/write recipes but never having time to sit down and actually do it.
Life recently is full, full like a full time job but also full of people, hearty meals, vegetables roasted in the oven and bike rides down the seawall got solo moments by the sea. Life recently is zesty weekend trips to Trader Joes to buy cheese, some wine, too many bags of chips, coconut yogurt, smoked paprika and apple pineapple vinegar at the market.
Life recently is mom visiting from Taipei and making homemade green onions pancakes, being tourists by Science world where we used to go devoutly as little kids and oogling at bald baby canadian geese. Life recently is berry picking, watering house plants, dancing till midnight in bad shoes and sneezing from pollen allergies that drive you craaazy.
Life recently is being inspired by Molly Yeh, Andrea Gentl, Sarah Copeland and creeping artists that make you want to move to New York City, live life to the fullest and capture every little detail. Life recently is making Vancouver salads, drying pineapple flowers for two nights and forgetting to give them away after.
Life recently is planning fall trips to Morroco (join me?), believing in art in the city you live in, attending photography talks with old(er) people and knowing that good things take some time.
Life recently is Saturday mornings, the only morning of the week where you plop down on the sofa, take as much time as you want to eat your yogurt with berries, read your book and look through the moments you have captured in your recent good life.
